The legendary label that helped spread dubstep to the States with releases from Skream and Kode9 hosts this all-star lineup, featuring some of bass music’s most essential torch-bearers as they carry the genre out of the boys’ club and into its inevitably femme-fronted future. After relocating from LA to London, Fast at Work co-founder Carré brings back her signature arsenal of seductive and subdued low-end heaters, joined by fellow Londoner re:ni, known for wide-ranging sets of chilled-out dub and unrelenting percussive club flare. In the New York corner, prolific bass diva Introspekt continues to effortlessly evoke raw dancefloor sensuality, joined by local club fixture Eva Loveless, whose staggering authority on dubstep and garage rivals her contemporaries across the pond. 10pm - 12am Eva Loveless 12am - 2am Carré 2am - 4am Introspekt 4am - close re:ni --- /// RSVP /// RSVP is $10 before 11pm and $15 before midnight. In order to receive the RSVP discount, you must be at the ticket desk by the cutoff time and not just in line. It's wise to arrive early to make sure you're not standing in line when the time comes. An RSVP does not guarantee entry. If tickets are sold out here, we always hold a good amount at the door. If someone says or does something to make you feel uncomfortable while you’re at Nowadays, let us know. /// FOOD /// The Zumbador serve tacos, burritos, quesedillas and a bunch of other quality Mexican food until 3am each night. /// ACCESSIBILITY /// The wheelchair entrance to our indoor space is in the driveway, which is the access point most commonly used to enter Nowadays. During parties the driveway gate is locked, so please ask staff at the street entrance for assistance with entry. All of our bathrooms are gender-neutral. There is one accessible stall indoors. Just ask any Nowadays staff member for the key, and they can show you the way. During parties, seating is available both on and off the dance floor. While we don’t have a dedicated quiet space indoors during parties, the booths next to coat check are a little quieter, and the deck and back yard quieter than that. Most nighttime parties include the use of strobe lights and water based haze.
